Natasha Thahane, a well-known South African actress, and Thembinkosi Lorch, a footballer for Sundowns, have ended their relationship.
The couple, who have kept their relationship private, became a topic of public speculation, especially after Thahane revealed her pregnancy in March 2022 with a maternity photo shoot.
Despite rumours of marriage in October 2022, the pair remained tight-lipped about their relationship.
On Monday, Thahane announced on Instagram that she and Lorch have decided to separate but will continue as friends and co-parents.
“Despite the change in our relationship, we will remain friends and co-parents. I am looking forward to this chapter of my life,” she said.
The announcement quickly spread to social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter), where users shared their opinions on the breakup.
Some speculated that Lorch’s recent move to Sundowns influenced their decision, while some suggested he is looking for a more traditional partner.Â
