Speaking at the Durban ICC on Tuesday at the opening of Africa Indaba 2026, Ramaphosa said the G20 year allowed South Africa to pilot an Electronic Travel Authorisation system now being rolled out to simplify travel for visitors.

“Tourism cannot grow without connectivity. In South Africa and across the region, we have seen an increase in airline seat capacity over the last year,” he said.
