Who will compete to be the queens of African football?

PICK OF THE SPORTS: Only four teams remain in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (Wafcon) as the battle for the title draws to a close.

➤ The four teams that will be playing in next year’s Fifa World Cup have been decided but for now their immediate attention will shift to lifting the Wafcon crown.

It is a case of two teams that have years worth of experience in these scenarios against two teams that have never been here before.

Both Nigeria and South Africa are seasoned professionals in making it to the final four of Wafcon.

For Morocco and Zambia, however, this is uncharted territory with all signs pointing to a Nigeria-South Africa final.

However, anything can happen and both Morocco and Zambia will be out to cause an upset.

Both the Wafcon semi-finals are scheduled to take place on Monday night with Zambia taking on Banyana Banyana at 7pm.

The second semi-final between Morocco and Nigeria will take place directly after at 10pm.

The final to decide who will be Africa’s best female side is set for next Saturday where we could see a new name on the crown.

Both the semi-finals will be televised on DStv channel 202.

➤ It all comes down to this. The duel between the Springboks and Wales will come to its end this Saturday, with only one side destined to win the series (unless the Test ends in a draw).

South Africa came into their first series of the year favourites to whitewash Wales, but it hasn’t worked out that way.

Wales are perhaps unlucky not to have claimed the series after losing the first encounter at the final whistle.

The Springboks now have one final chance to prove their worth in Cape Town and claim the series.

The match is set for Cape Town at the DHL Stadium with kickoff set for 5.05pm.

The match will be televised live on DStv channel 201 and 211.

➤ Three international rugby matches are series deciders this weekend! Ireland are on the point of pulling off one of the great upsets in rugby history when they take one New Zealand at 9.05am in Wellington.

The needle match between England and Australia, despite commitments to the contrary from both teams, could turn into a jersey-pulling affair with both teams desperate for test victories. Match kicks off at 11.55am at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

The Springboks and the Dragons lock horns in Cape town at 5.05pm. Could a match be more closely contested?

Argentina plays Scotland at 9.10pm.

All the international rugby action can be watched live on DStv channel 201 and 211.
