Weapon of choice: Nintendo duck hunt pistol

A man has been arrested for robbing a convenience store using what appeared to be a weapon straight out of a video game.

The suspect, identified as 25-year-old David Joseph Dalesandro, walked into the Kwik Stop store in Sharon, South Carolina, wearing a disguise that included a wig, a mask, and a hoodie.

According to witnesses, Dalesandro approached the cashier and demanded cash while revealing a gun tucked in his waistband.

However, upon closer inspection, law enforcement officials discovered that the supposed firearm was actually a spray-painted Nintendo Duck Hunt game pistol.

The “weapon” is inspired by the classic shooter game where players take aim at flying targets on the screen.

The York County Sheriff’s Office wasted no time in apprehending Dalesandro, who was found in a nearby car park still in possession of the phoney weapon, Sky reported.

He was arrested and booked into the York County Detention Center, facing charges related to the armed robbery.

The incident left both store employees and law enforcement officers astonished at the suspect’s audacity — and his toy weapon!
