After six-year-old Joslin Smith went missing for two weeks, police have arrested four men in connection with her disappearance.
After questioning, two of the suspects admitted to having sold Joslin for “muti”. Muti is the name for traditional medicine as made by traditional healers, but body parts are sometimes used.
Netwerk24 reported that two out of four suspects allegedly admitted to selling Joslin to a man in Middelpos for R20,000.
More arrests are set to be made soon.
On Sunday, 3 March, the Serious Violent Crimes Unit team that deals with kidnappings arrived in Middelpos where detectives questioned suspects for 36 hours.
The men are to appear in court on Thursday.
Pieces of clothing, allegedly stained with blood, were found during a search for missing Joslin, police said last Sunday morning.
