Rookie Oscar Piastri took the chequered flag at the Qatar Grand Prix Sprint in an exciting race, while Max Verstappen secured his third World Championship title.

Despite Piastri’s admirable win, the highlight of the day was Verstappen’s championship win, making him a three-time world champion.

His achievement was confirmed even before the Sprint’s end, due to a collision involving Sergio Perez.

McLaren showed impressive form, with Piastri leading the race and Norris finishing in the top three.

George Russell challenges strongly, using the advantage of soft tires to overtake Piastri for a short while. But as the soft tires began showing wear, Piastri retook the lead.

Challenges followed throughout the race with several incidents bringing out the safety car.

These pauses played an important role, especially for those on soft rubber, given the nature of the track.

Though the title was already in the bag, Verstappen showed no signs of slowing down, overtaking Russell and narrowing the gap to Piastri.

However, the rookie managed to fend off the Red Bull star, achieving his first win in Formula 1.

Lewis Hamilton also showcased his strengths, moving up the ranks in the final stages of the race.
