Rivonia trialist and anti-apartheid campaigner Denis Goldberg died on Wednesday.
87-year-old Goldberg was a member of the SACP and Umkhonto we Sizwe.
Goldberg was sentenced to life in prison for treason at the Rivonia trial in 1963 along with Nelson Mandela, Walter Sisulu, Andrew Mlangeni and others. He spent 22 years in prison.
“His contribution to the struggle for freedom for the oppressed will forever be remembered,” the Steve Biko Foundation said on Thursday.
