A couple’s road to relaxation took an unexpected turn when their car broke down on the way to their vacation spot.
Sa’adah Tavira-Mbaya Mulunda and her husband Jerry were stranded, but their stress was alleviated by the kindness of two Pretoria flying squad officers, Sergeant Sefatsa and Sergeant Mohoseji.
The officers stopped to help, buying coolant and attempting to get the car back on the road.
The couple was touched by the officers’ genuine willingness to assist, describing them as “angels in SAPS uniform.”
When the car was taken to a Midas branch for repairs, Thabo, the branch manager, went above and beyond to help.
After his workday had ended, Thabo and his wife Dineo personally drove the couple 120 kilometres to their holiday destination.
This act of selflessness left the couple speechless and grateful. Sa’adah reflected on the experience: “God showed us His hand of protection through these extraordinary people. Their actions turned a potentially disheartening situation into one filled with gratitude, hope, and renewed faith — in both humanity and God’s goodness,” she said per Good Things Guy.
The couple’s story is a reminder that kindness and compassion are still alive and well in South Africa.
