Royal AM boss, Shauwn Mkhize is not shy to splash cash around whenever she is in a good mood.
And it appears that the team’s famous win over Chiefs on Saturday left Mkhize in a very good mood!
An insider at the club told Scrolla.Africa that the players have tasted what could be in store for them this season.
“At the end of the Chiefs’ match the boss lady and her son Andile Mpisane, who is the club chairman, came to the dressing room with a bag full of money. The players were given R10,000 cash each and I hear they will be getting more,” said the insider.
According to The Citizen, all the players are in line to receive big bonuses for the win.
“It has made the management very happy and to encourage them to keep it up, they have been promised big bonuses for big wins.”
Scrolla.Africa understands players will also be getting big bonuses if they beat rival teams like Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns. It is understood that a win over Pirates and Sundowns will score each player a massive R100,000 bonus.
Whether players get these big payouts or not, teams will think very carefully about approaching a match against Royal AM.
Royal AM’s next DStv Premiership assignment will be against TS Galaxy on Sunday afternoon at the Chatsworth Stadium in Durban.
The team will be looking to continue with their winning streak which could take them to nine points after five matches. As for Owen Da Gama’s side, they will be hoping to turn the corner after they suffered a 3-0 hammering at the hands of Mamelodi Sundowns over the weekend.
