Prince Kaybee has a new race car – but he’ll never be able to drive it

DJ Prince Kaybee has set the internet abuzz after showing off the customised McLaren 720s GT3 sport car he will be racing with his team at the Virtual Kyalami 9 Hour Race.

There’s just one catch: it’s a virtual car.

The much-anticipated racing event is only taking place online and its racers will be driving simulated vehicles.

Prince Kaybee’s colourful digital McLaren sports car will go up against more than 40 other virtual teams on 30 January.

The race is an imitation of the real intercontinental endurance sports car event, Kaylami 9 Hour Race.

The actual race is taking place from 3 to 5 February at Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Midrand, Johannesburg after a 37-year hiatus.

Rival artist Cassper Nyovest was gifted with a new McLaren by his business partners for his birthday in mid-December 2021. But this one was a real car.
