Palace steal a point from City

Manchester City may have been without their star man in Erling Haaland but that didn’t stop them from going 2-0 up at home to Crystal Palace.

Goal scorers Jack Grealish and Rico Lewis would have felt the game was all but done when they put their side ahead.

Even when Jean-Phillip Mateta got one back for the London side, City still looked as if they would secure all three points.

But a last-minute penalty, scored by Michael Olise, earned Palace a shock draw away from home.

Chelsea meanwhile got back to winning ways, securing their first back-to-back wins at home for the first time in over a year.

Englishmen Raheem Sterling and Cole Palmer combined to give the Blues the lead before Nicholas Jackson got Chelsea’s second.

Chelsea find themselves back in the top half of the table for the time being.

Newcastle managed a 3-0 victory over Fulham at home to ease any pain they had following their midweek exit from the Uefa Champions League.

Making the win sweeter, 17-year-old Lewis Miley not only got his first goal for the club but became the youngest goal scorer in Premier League history.

Miguel Almiron and Dan Burn scored to secure the victory for the Magpies.

The match between Luton Town and Bournemouth was 1-1 before it was abandoned after Luton captain Tom Lockyer collapsed on the field.

It isn’t the first time Lockyer has fainted on the field, he collapsed during a play-off final before Luton was promoted to the Premier League.

Medical staff have since reported that Lockyer has since become responsive.
