Several employees at a Twitter office in New York have complained that the bathroom smells bad and that there’s no toilet paper.
Employees at the Chelsea office in New York claim the bad smell is a result of Twitter owner Elon Musk’s refusal to renegotiate terms with the toilet maintenance company.
Musk took over the social media platform late last year and introduced several cost-cutting measures aimed at maximising the platform’s profit.
Some of those measures included firing crucial staff members, not paying rent and now not buying any toilet paper.
Two employees have complained of a bad smell from unclean bathrooms and unclogged toilets making its way through the hallways, Business Insider reported.
Several requests have been made for the bathroom to be cleaned, but those pleas have gone unanswered.
One employee revealed that the lack of basic necessities has increased the already poor morale within the company.
Several employees have concluded that if Musk does not fork out the cash for toilet paper by next week, they will have to bring their own rolls from home.
However, bringing in their own toilet paper is not new to Twitter employees, as staff at the San Francisco office were forced to do, The New York Times reported.
Musk may have caused a stink when he took over Twitter, but now he is going further and beyond to ensure there is an actual stink within the company.
The South African-born billionaire recently lost his title as the world’s richest man. Could cheaping out on not buying toilet paper be part of his plan to get the title back?
