- Mpilo Mseleku is in hospital with a curved spine from muscle spasms and says she is in pain 24 hours a day.
- Fans are sending support to Mpilo as she recovers, after her father Musa Mseleku recently shared a proud photo of her at work.
Mpiloenhle “Mpilo” Mseleku, daughter of reality TV star Musa Mseleku, is in hospital after being diagnosed with a curved spine caused by muscle spasms.
The Izingane Zes’thembu star and recent University of KwaZulu-Natal graduate said she had been in pain for a while and finally realised something was wrong.
“I’ve had bad back pain for a while, and I realised something was wrong,” she said in a video shared online.
Doctors later found that her spine had curved because of ongoing muscle spasms. She said they were still running tests to find the cause.
“I hate that for me, but it’s not the end of the world,” said Mpilo, who added that she is in constant pain day and night.
Despite the pain, she thanked the hospital staff for their kindness and said she was doing her best to stay strong.
Her father Musa also recently spoke about his own health challenges on Uthando Nes’thembu.

Earlier this month, he visited Mpilo at her internship at Halfway Omoda & Jaecoo in Port Shepstone and posted a proud photo of her in uniform.
“My daughter Mpiloenhle Aphile Mseleku, at her work,” he wrote on Instagram.
The strong bond between the two has touched fans, many of whom are now flooding social media with messages of love and support.
