The music star laughed with his fans during an Instagram Live video on Wednesday. He told his followers he will print a picture of Nota for his security team. Maphorisa said the guards will use the picture to stop Nota from entering the concert venue.
Maphorisa is hosting a music show with Kabza De Small on 19 November 2026. The pair perform together as the Scorpion Kings.
Fans have already bought 60% of the tickets for the event. The fast ticket sales have left many people asking for a second show.
Maphorisa made the security threat after Nota criticised him on a podcast.
Nota said Maphorisa needs to focus on building an international career. He said amapiano is already a big music genre in South Africa. Nota claimed this makes local stadium shows easy money for artists.
He said Maphorisa should stop chasing local goals because artists like Cassper Nyovest have already achieved them.
People on social media reacted with jokes and mixed opinions about the clash. Some users defended the podcast comments. Other people said they are waiting to hear Nota reply to the ban on a future podcast.
Maphorisa and Nota have a history of fighting in public. The two men have clashed over music royalties before. They have also fought over industry issues involving artists like Kwesta and Cassper Nyovest.
