Baby showers are always something to look forward to for any mom-to-be.
During the ceremony, family and friends gather to celebrate the impending birth and shower the mom with gifts.
But what do you do when people come empty handed and just enjoy food served at your baby shower?
One American mom kicked the giftless guests out of her party.
Taking to Instagram, the expectant mom with the username @earlyandtia, shared a video of her literally chasing guests with no gifts out of her party.
“If you didn’t bring a gift you can get up and go.” she said.
The MC quickly grabbed the microphone from the visibly angry mom and said she was joking and that it was the hormones talking.
In a shocking response, the young mom quickly grabbed the mic back from the MC and ordered those with no gifts to leave.
Most social media users supported her decision while some felt they could have addressed the issue before the ceremony.
One follower wrote “You are not wrong, the purpose is to shower the baby with gifts. The food and gifts are a token of appreciation for doing so. If you don’t plan on showering the baby with a gift then don’t waste the parents’ money”
Another user said: “No you weren’t wrong. People will not only show up, eat and drink, they will not have the courtesy to RSVP or bring a gift. But when you speak on it you are wrong”
