The Zulu Royal family has suffered another blow because of continuing infighting over the throne.
This time they have been snubbed by politicians who usually pay visits to the royal family to seek blessings so that they can win elections.
Other people used this time to introduce their new political parties to the King.
The situation has also halted the late King Zwelithini KaBhekuzulu’s anti-political violence programmes, which were revived during this election campaigning period to pray for peaceful polls.
Prince Thulani Zulu told Scrolla.Africa that the current situation made it difficult to host such programmes.
“We are still facing a difficult situation in the royal family, which has disturb some of our programmes. Although we have such crises, there are those who still pay visits to King Misuzulu kaZwelithini in their private capacity,” said Prince Thulani.
Some of the high profile politicians who always pay visits to the Zulu Royal family includes EFF leader Julius Malema, former DA leader Mmusi Maimane, President Cyril Ramaphosa, ANC suspended secretary-general Ace Magashule, former President Jacob Zuma, UDM leader Bantu Holomisa and many others.
The fight of the Zulu throne has been going on since the passing of King Zwelithini in March.
Many people have weighed in to quell the tension.
Among those who have intervened are Ramaphosa, King Makhosetive Mswati iii, former KwaZulu-Natal premier Willies Mchunu, and Princess Charlene of Monaco, who is a close friend of King Goodwill Zwelithini KaBhekuzulu.
