Blues go berserk on Thursday night football!

Cole Palmer left it later than ever before as Chelsea claimed all three points against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.

The Premier League continues to be the gift that keeps on giving, with Liverpool reclaiming top spot before the Blues scored twice in stoppage time to beat the Red Devils 4-3 in London.

The Reds enjoyed a Premier League record of ball domination as Jurgen Klopp’s men kept 83.1% of possession against Sheffield United at Anfield.

An early gift to Darwin Nunez saw Liverpool go in front, but it would not be all easy going for the Merseysiders as a Conor Bradley own goal levelled matters for the visitors on the hour mark.

Alexis Mac Allister produced a worldie with 15 minutes to play, guiding the Reds back into control in the final stages before Cody Gakpo put the icing on the cake to put the title race back in his team’s hands.

The night’s opening game only delivered an atom of Thursday’s drama, though, with the unbelievable still to come across the country at Chelsea.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side went two goals up inside 20 minutes before United turned the tide courtesy of a Bruno Fernandes goal in between a stunning Alejandro Garnacho brace.

For the first time in over 30 years, a side scored two and conceded two goals in six consecutive games in all competitions — and this time Chelsea looked dead and buried.

With 99 minutes played, the Red Devils looked certain to claim all three points, but Manchester boy Palmer had other plans for the Blues.

Diego Dalot gave away a late penalty and Palmer pounced on what seemed to be the final kick of the game to make it 3-3.

There would be one more chance and the 21-year-old would complete an unforgettable hatrick to send the Bridge into blue ecstasy, capping off an all-time Premier League classic.

With the midweek fixtures now concluded, the eyes of the football world will turn to Sunday as under-pressure Manchester United look to put a spanner in the works of bitter rivals Liverpool’s title aspirations.
