Boikhutso Township in North West was covered in smoke on Tuesday afternoon after:
-A K9 police car ran over and killed an eight year old girl – allegedly while chasing young men selling cooked meals, against lockdown rules
-Residents then went on rampage, burning a police car and an ambulance
Local reports say five police and medical officials were injured. Police are investigating a culpable homicide case against their own.
