South Africa confirmed 437 new Covid-19 cases last night, making a total of 7,220. There have been 138 deaths and 2,746 patients have recovered.
Worldwide the toll on Tuesday stood at 3,601,760 cases, 251,898 deaths and 251,898 recoveries.
The US alone has had nearly 70,000 deaths. This week, critics of President Trump in his own Republican Party released a video “Mourning in America”, attacking his response to the virus. Trump was very late to mobilize the federal government against the virus. Now he is siding with right wing activists calling for the lockdown to be lifted in some states – the same lockdowns advised by his administration.
