219 arrested and six dead as looting continues

Furniture, appliances, TVs and washing machines were seen being dragged away by the trolley loot as looting and violence continues in Durban, Pietermaritzburg, Umlazi in KZN and Alexandra in Gauteng.

Shopping centres were looted while roads were blocked on Monday morning and even a funeral parlour was looted and coffins stolen.

The looting is continuing with police confirming that 219 people have been arrested in both Gauteng and KZN and six are reported dead.
