Zahara, real name Bulelwa Mkutukana, passed away on 11 December 2023 in Johannesburg.
Following her death, her home in Roodepoort was auctioned off due to her financial difficulties.
Her family is now seeking to buy the house back.
Zahara had previously not made her mortgage payments leading to the auction of the home she bought with a loan from Nedbank.
To raise funds for buying back the house, her family has organised a concert. They have booked the Orient Theatre in East London but they are struggling to raise funds to cover the venue and artist fees.
The event, which will feature performances by several artists and is hosted by former actress Lusanda Mbane, aims to gather support by paying artists a nominal fee termed a “cold drink”.
