Like South African health workers, German doctors don’t have enough protective clothing to treat Covid-19 patients. Not enough masks, aprons or gloves.
So they’ve stripped naked to protest.
A group of them has posted naked photos of themselves on social media “as a symbol of how vulnerable we are without protection”.
German health workers have been promised more protective gear for months. One doctor quoted in The Guardian said she is “trained to sew up wounds. Why am I now having to sew my own face mask?”
