USA – Being the son of the US president-elect comes with its own challenges, but for Barron Trump, 18, that comes with the territory. He is reportedly a hit at New York University’s Stern School of Business. Known for his tall, handsome looks, some even call him a “ladies’ man.” However, being the son of former US president Donald Trump means his student life is anything but normal. Security guards shadow his every move, making it hard to blend in. His mother, Melania Trump, has admitted that he faces some challenges but praised his strength.
India – Gukesh Dommaraju, 18, is now the youngest-ever classical chess world champion. He defeated defending champion Ding Liren 7.5–6.5 during a tense final in Singapore. The victory came after Ding made a crucial error, sealing Gukesh’s win in the last game. Overcome with joy, Gukesh wept, while Ding was stunned. Gukesh’s father celebrated with him, and fans back home in India hailed his achievement. He is only the second Indian to claim the world title, following Viswanathan Anand.
USA – Sean “Diddy” Combs is being accused of drugging and sexually assaulting three men between 2019 and 2022. The lawsuits, obtained by NBC News, allege the incidents happened in hotel rooms and at Combs’s private home. His lawyers dismissed the claims as “lies” and vowed to disprove them, even pursuing legal action against the accusers’ attorneys. These are just the latest allegations against Combs, who also faces other lawsuits, some dating back to the 1990s.
UK – A new electronic implant is bringing relief to sleep apnoea patients in the UK. The chip, placed on a key nerve, helps regulate breathing during sleep. Natalie Boller, who has suffered from the condition for over a decade, underwent the procedure at University College London Hospitals. After other treatments failed, her husband urged her to seek alternatives. Natalie is hopeful the device will finally improve her quality of life.
