US – In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, singer Pharrell Williams shared his frustration with celebrities speaking out on politics, saying he prefers action over public endorsements. “I don’t do politics. I get annoyed when I see celebrities trying to tell you who to vote for.” His comments come after Taylor Swift endorsed Kamala Harris for president. Williams added: “There are celebrities I respect with opinions, but not all of them. Sometimes I just think, ‘Shut up. Nobody asked you.’” Celebrities like Olivia Rodrigo, John Legend, and Billie Eilish have supported Harris, while Kid Rock and Elon Musk have backed Donald Trump.

However, two NASA astronauts, Barry Wilmore and Sunita Williams, were stranded on the ISS due to issues with Boeing’s Starliner. Iran – Hezbollah, backed by Iran, is accusing Israel of causing a series of pager-detonated explosions in Lebanon that killed nine people and injured nearly 3,000, including Hezbollah members and Iran’s ambassador. Israel’s intelligence agency, Mossad, is suspected of being behind the attack. Hezbollah has promised revenge, increasing fears of further conflict amid ongoing exchanges of fire between Hezbollah and Israel, following the October 7 Hamas attack.

UK – Tupperware, the famous food storage company, has filed for bankruptcy due to falling sales. Despite efforts to modernise and attract younger consumers, the company has struggled to compete. Although the brand saw a sales boost during the pandemic, it now faces rising costs and lower demand. Tupperware’s shares dropped by over 50% this week. Founded in 1946, Tupperware revolutionised food storage with its airtight-seal containers and became popular through “Tupperware parties.” Today, the brand is sold in 70 countries.
