“Davido and I dey go on tour!”
This was the sensational announcement made by Wizkid, that he and fellow megastar singer, Davido, will be going on a tour after his More Love Less Ego (MLLE) tour.
The multiple award-winning singer made the announcement on Instagram Stories on Wednesday.
“After my MLLE tour!! Davido and I dey go on tour! Save your coins! I no one hear pim!!” he wrote.
Wizkid’s announcement has squashed all suspected cold blood between both afrobeats singers.
For over a decade, there has been a perceived rift between both artists, which pitched their fans against themselves. This birthed their respective cult-following namely – Wizkid FC and 30BG Gang.
Though a specific reason for their beef hasn’t been recorded, Davido said in an interview with TV personality, Ebuka, that competition could be the only reason for their rift.
“Of course, definitely, he knows that and that could be the only reason he will be vexing at me because I have never done nothing,” adding, “I love Wizkid and I know he loves me too,” Davido said in response.
In January 2022, however, both artists were seen in a viral video at a nightclub having a lengthy hug.
