A few weeks ago, South African entertainer Skomota was seen in a viral video standing next to a luxury Mercedes-Benz V-Class, valued at R1.4-million.
Some viewers questioned whether the car belonged to him, but it was later confirmed to be his, with his face displayed prominently on the vehicle.
However, a new video showing the Mercedes on the back of a tow truck owned by Mashilela Towing has surfaced on social media.
While some people speculate that the car might have simply broken down and needed repairs, others accuse critics of being jealous of Skomota.
Some claimed that the vehicle was only a sponsored car and not actually his.
Zamcolo Wezulu commented on X: “Black people and the itch of others’ downfall yeses you guys are disgusting.”
Another user wrote: “It was a sponsored vehicle, obviously they had a timeframe on the contract … I don’t know why blacks enjoy other blacks’ downfall!!”
Some social media users mentioned seeing the car standing motionless on a highway.
“How is it gone if it broke down? Cars break down every day,” one user commented.
Another wrote: “Maybe it has gone for repairs, yet you guys are already clapping hands for his downfall. Le tlo shwa ke mona, serious jealousy will kill you.”
Scrolla.Africa contacted Skomota’s management to find out more about the vehicle’s fate, but they had not responded by the time of publication.
