Those guys who have romantic thoughts about the gifted rapper Sho Madjozi can seek guidance in her latest mixtape What A Life, released on Thursday.
On one track “Jamani” she lays out exactly what she wants in a man.
Don’t ask us to spell it out. Listen to the song (there’s a clip above, and it’s available for download here) and find out.
The upbeat mixtape lands just in time for the party season – even if the fun will be dampened this year by Covid.
Her songs are performed in collaboration with a number of South African artistes including Manu WorldStar, Dr Thomas Chauke, Makhadzi, DJ Mfundhisi, Russian Army and Sunglen Chabalala.
On the album she sings about love as well as the scandals of corrupt South African politicians.
This the second official release from the rapper/actress/poet following her highly successful 2018 debut album Limpopo Champions League.
The single John Cena, about the professional wrestler, was a breakaway hit.
Sho Madjozi (real name Maya Christinah Xichavo Wegerif) is known for her braids, styled on the Tuareg people of the Sahel, while in her songs and style she champions her own Tsonga culture.
She is one South African artiste headed for global fame. Just a few weeks ago she signed up with a major American label, Epic Records.
