The Mzansi entertainment industry woke up on Wednesday morning to the news that two of the most celebrated celebrities in the entertainment industry had been fired from their jobs.

Singer and Idols SA judge Unathi Nkayi has been dropped as a presenter by Kaya 959 management as their radio presenter, citing a breakdown of trust for kicking the presenter off her show called Midday Joy.

“Kaya 959 can confirm that certain incidents had occurred which resulted in the breakdown of the trust relationship between the two parties,” said Kaya 959 in a statement released on their website.

“A replacement presenter is to be announced in due course,” concluded the Johannesburg based radio station.

Meanwhile, actor Sthembiso SK Khoza who made a name for himself playing the role of the vibrant Shaka Khoza in the television drama series The Queen, which airs on DStv’s Mzansi Magic channel has reportedly been sacked by Ferguson Films which produces the popular TV drama.

This comes after Khoza, who leads a dramatic personal life which has been exposed on social media many times, was accused of assault.

“The decision was made at the behest of Multichoice following an alleged assault perpetrated by the actor,” reported Phil Mphela who broke the news on Twitter.
