From the vibrant streets of Thembisa to the global stage, Afro-tech maestro DJ Shimza has collaborated with American singer Aloe Blacc on his latest single, Darling.
The single is a symphony of mellow tracks that feature the Afro-tech sound for which Shimza is renowned.
Darling features Aloe Blacc’s soulful interpretation of Ben E King’s timeless 1961 classic, Stand by Me, adding to its essence with a modern touch.
Born Ashley Raphala, in recent years Shimza has found his place on the global electronic music scene.
His collaborations include a wide range of music industry titans, including a hit with Avicii, Wake Me Up, and notable success with the single The Man.
His recent intercontinental tour took him to venues in the United States, Europe, Africa and South America.
