Manchester United boss Erik Ten Hag stormed out of his post-match press conference after his side only just avoided defeat at the hands of Bournemouth.
The Red Devils had just two shots on target at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday evening, with Bruno Fernandes netting from both to ensure the game ended 2-2.
The second goal came from a controversial penalty, too, making Ten Hag’s meeting with the media even more difficult.
“I don’t take comment, take that question. That is not important for this moment,” Ten Hag told a reporter before abruptly walking out of the press room.
United’s winless streak in the league has now extended to four games, leaving them seventh on the table at risk of a nasty record.
His reaction was in response to a question about the club potentially facing their worst ever finish to a top-flight campaign should they finish any lower than seventh place.
United’s worst ever finish to a league campaign came in the 2013/14 season, the first year after Sir Alex Ferguson’s departure. They finished seventh that year.
On Saturday, they had the opportunity to keep their slim Champions League aspirations alive, but the Cherries dampened their hopes with a positive performance.
In the day’s early game, Tottenham Hotspur were shocked at St James’s Park as Newcastle United beat Ange Postecoglou’s side 4-0.
Manchester City went back to the top of the table with a 5-1 win over Luton Town while Brentford beat Sheffield United 2-0 on the goal rush.
On Sunday, Liverpool host Crystal Palace while Arsenal take on Aston Villa with the run-in for the title taking centre stage yet again.
