Ten dead in Delmas crash 

At least ten people have lost their lives in a tragic collision involving a taxi and a bus-truck on the R42 near Delmas in Mpumalanga on Monday morning. 

At least 24 others have been injured and have been rushed to nearby hospitals.

Mpumalanga Community Safety spokesperson Moeti Mmusi confirmed that eight of the deceased were occupants of the taxi, including its driver, while two were occupants of the bus.

“The victims were declared dead at the scene. Among the injured, 18 were occupants of the bus-truck, and six were in the taxi,” Mmusi said.

The cause of the accident is currently unknown, but an investigation is underway.
