What’s in a name?
One twin brother is Doctor Sobetha. The other is Teacher Professor Matshia.
Doctor was arrested at the Bethal Magistrate’s Court last week while pretending to be a lawyer representing a murder accused.
Teacher Professor was a professional electrical engineer who was found dead in his car that was burnt to ashes on 30 December last year.
But the brothers have different surnames.
A family member said that Doctor changed his surname and used his mother’s while the rest of the family members stayed with their father’s surname.
Our source said it was the nurse at the ward where their mother gave birth that gave them the names.
Now Teacher Professor is dead. Doctor is no longer practising as a lawyer and is in custody charged with being a fraudster — and not a very good one at that.
