While still shooting Living The Dream With Somizi and battling his estranged husband Mohale Motaung in court for divorce settlements, Somizi Mhlongo has managed to make another dating reality show called Lovey Dovey.
Astonishingly, he has, at the same time, been preparing to be an Idols SA Season 18 judge.
Somizi, who will be turning 50 years old in December this year, will host the new show.
Lovey Dovey will premiere on DStv’s Moja Love channel on Saturday at 9pm with talented actress and presenter Gabisile Tshabalala.
According to Moja Love’s snippet of the show, a group of singles will come together to live under one roof in the “Lovey Dovey House” where they will find “real love”.
Winners at the end of the dating show will leave the house with R500,000 cash prize as well as the wedding of their dreams.
Tshabalala is no stranger to reality TV and has hosted numerous shows, including the Throwback Thursday with co-host Skhumbuzo Hlophe.
Meanwhile, after being cut off from the Idols SA judging panel last year, following abuse allegations by Mohale, Somizi is making a comeback on the singing competition alongside new judges JR Bogopa and Thembi Seete in July 2022.
