A South African soccer star allegedly fled the scene after a crash that killed a 9-year-old girl in Tembisa on Wednesday morning.
Scrolla.Africa can reveal that the vehicle abandoned at the accident scene belongs to soccer star Shaune Mogaila, who plays for Sekhukhune United.
The mother of the child and her 13-year-old daughter, who were trapped in their vehicle, were rescued and rushed to nearby medical facilities.

It is alleged that 29-year-old Shaune fled the scene after the traumatic incident.
Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department spokesperson Thabiso Makgato said when they arrived at the scene, they found the mother and her 13-year-old still trapped in their car while the other driver was not at the scene.
The accident happened around 7.30am on Andrew Mapheto Road in Tembisa.
“We found four bottles of Don Julio alcohol. We also found a powder, which we suspect could be cocaine and weed edibles in his vehicle,” said Makgato.
“A female driver was transporting her nine-year-old daughter. The child succumbed to her injuries and was declared dead at the scene. The mother’s 13-year-old daughter sustained serious injuries and was transported to Tembisa Tertiary Hospital.”
She added that a case of culpable homicide, reckless and negligent driving, and leaving the scene of the accident has been opened at the Tembisa South police station.
