Sisters slug it out over family house

The Zondo siblings from KwaThema, Ekurhuleni are at war with each other over a family house.

The fight has been going on for over a decade and now all tricks are out of the bag as neighbours watch from a distance.

In the past two weeks the windows of the house were broken in the middle of the night by Pastor Duduzile Zondo.

Last week in two separate incidents two children managed to escape from their alleged kidnappers while one was on her way from school and the other playing in the street.

Busisiwe Zondo said the fight over the house started in 2007 and peace ceased to exist between them.

“Duduzile demanded for my mother to vacate her house claiming ownership of the house, saying our late father left it for her since she is the last born. My sister was three years old when our father died leaving behind five other children,” she explained.

In 2011 their late mother Sylvia Zondo took the matter to court where it was ruled in their mother’s favour.

The court ordered the pastor to move out of the house since she was old enough to have her own.

“She refused to leave and continued insulting our mother every chance she got until she died of a heart attack two years later,” she added.

Two months after their mother’s burial the siblings decided to take the matter back to court where it was ruled that they sell the house before one of them gets killed.

Another sister, Mantombi Zondo added that Duduzile disappeared for seven years until she reappeared two weeks ago and unleashed her poison.

In her comment Duduzile said even if her siblings open cases against her, this will not ruin her reputation because she is ordained in the blood of God.

She added they can sell the house and doesn’t even want any cent from the sale.

KwaThema police spokesperson, Constable Nkululeko Magudulelo confirmed that a case of malicious damage to property and attempted kidnappings were being investigated.
