- The Limpopo musician remains in custody after being denied bail on multiple serious charges.
Limpopo artist Shebeshxt and his partner Kholofelo Moloto have welcomed their second child.
The musician, whose real name is Lehlogonolo Katlego Chauke, is still in custody and was not present for the birth.
Moloto shared the news on TikTok. She posted a photo of herself holding the newborn’s hand and captioned it, “Love of my life.”
Many social media users sent messages of congratulations to the couple.
The birth comes after a painful time for the family. In 2024, the couple lost their daughter, Onthatile, in a car accident.
At the same time, Shebeshxt remains behind bars. On 9 January, the Polokwane High Court denied him bail.
He was arrested in November and faces nine charges, including three counts of attempted murder.
The “Rato Laka” hitmaker also spent the festive season in custody. On 17 December, the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court also refused him bail.
Magistrate Godfrey Netshiozwi said Shebeshxt failed to show exceptional circumstances that would allow his release.
The magistrate said the court also looked at his conduct and character. He said the accused should reflect on his actions to avoid future trouble with the law.
Shebeshxt remains in custody. His case is expected to return to the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on 18 February.
