Limpopo rapper Shebeshxt has responded to rumours that he is using drugs.
Videos of him behaving badly went viral last week. In one clip, a glass pipe was seen next to him, a type often used to smoke crystal meth.
People on social media said this was proof he was using drugs.
Shebeshxt then posted a video on TikTok. In it, he said: “Who told you I stopped smoking crystal? I still do.” He also called himself “Shebeshxt maCrystal”.
He claimed crystal meth would help him build a mansion with an indoor elevator.
Some social media users mocked him. They said Nike was lucky not to have picked him as a brand ambassador.
One person wrote: “Nike would’ve had to release a statement every week.” Another said: “And you guys wanted him to represent Nike?”
Others took a more serious view. Some believe Shebeshxt might be using drugs to cope with the loss of his daughter.
One user said: “He’s probably going through something.” Another wrote: “He’s acting like someone who has nothing left to lose.”
