Pop superstar Shakira was accosted by two wild boars in a Barcelona park who “snatched” the singer’s handbag before heartlessly destroying it in front of her.
The Colombian-Lebanese singer was walking through a park in Barcelona with her eight-year-old son, Milan, when the attack took place.
Shakira, whose full name is Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll, revealed the incident in a video which she posted on Instagram.
“Look at how two wild boar, which attacked me in the park, have left my bag,” she says in the clip, while showing viewers the mangled handbag.
“They were taking my bag to the woods with my mobile phone in it. They’ve destroyed everything.”
Boars, in particular adult males, are capable of inflicting serious damage to people.
But these pigs were no match for the “She Wolf” hit-maker, who claimed in the video that she “stood up” to them:
“Milan tell the truth. Say how your mummy stood up to the wild boar.”
Shakira performed “Waka Waka”, the official song of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
The high-profile mugging has caused a stir on social media, with many users seeing the funny side of the bizarre incident.
One user wrote: “There’s a wild boar living it up in the champagne room using Shakira’s ID”.
