With less than a week to go before the Wanderers finale, the league phase of this year’s SA20 has concluded and the final four teams that will progress to the playoffs have been decided.
Kicking off on Tuesday, the playoffs will see Gqeberha play host to the Paarl Royals and MI Cape Town as the top two collide for a place in the final.
The losers of that game will play in Friday’s qualifier two against the victors of Joburg Super Kings and Sunrisers Eastern Cape, who face-off in the Centurion eliminator on Thursday.
Joburg’s win over Paarl on Friday was enough to see them make the top four, despite their DLS defeat to the Durban Super Giants on Sunday.
The Royals will want to bounce back in the playoffs after they made it back-to-back defeats against current holders Sunrisers Eastern Cape who put them away to qualify on Saturday.
In the final match of league stage action, log leaders Cape Town thrashed the Pretoria Capitals by 95 runs, with the home fans being treated to a true spectacle by their side in the tournament’s final game in the Mother City.
All the playoff action will be broadcast live on SuperSport.
