Music lovers in Cape Town are getting ready for a big day as more stars join the first WAV Festival.
The festival takes place on 2 January 2026, and the organisers say the new acts show their bold plan for the future of R&B, soul and African music.
They call it an “immersive celebration” that brings top artists from South Africa and abroad together under the Cape Town sky.
Mariah the Scientist and Kelvin Momo were already headlining.
Joining them now are British-Colombian singer Sasha Keable and South African favourites Langa Mavuso, Lia Butler, Xowiè and Shekhinah.
More performers, including Manana, Nanette, Kujenga and the Strictly Soul Hour with Akio and Yandani, have also been added.
Fans are rushing for tickets.
Golden Circle passes are already sold out, and the organisers say General Access tickets are almost finished too.
The Malachite Group and Africa Creative Agency are putting the festival together.
They have worked with Afro Nation in places like Portugal, Miami, Detroit and Ghana, and say WAV is built on “decades of experience in culture, talent and transformative experiences”.
