Director of Rugby Rassie Erasmus was unblocking a blocked drain when the seriously toxic chemicals he was using splashed back onto Rassie damaging his legs and what newspaper Rapport described as “other body parts”.
Presumably, we will have to wait for Die Huisgenoot to provide graphic details of what those other parts may be, but whatever it is, it is a balls up.
Rassie was taken to hospital after what could have been, jokes aside, a much more serious, even life-threatening accident.
The man who guided the Springboks to a second World Cup victory is expected to be back at work in two weeks.
Until further information is received, it is impossible to tell when he will be fully functional.
