Award winning motswako rapper Khuli Chana has launched his new “content creation hub for creatives” named after his stage name.
Khuli Chana, whose real name is Khulane Morule, opened the Khuli Chana Studios in Midrand on Monday, 25 July to lift up the entertainment industry in Mzansi.
“The studios offer TV production facilities, sound, live streaming & music production,” according to the description of the media company.
While many broadcasters and artists were still asking themselves how much it is going to cost to produce their content in the new studios, entertainment commentator Musa Khawula revealed the studios are open to the general public for mahala!
“Congratulations to Khuli Chana for opening his content creation studio where people can book and create content or record music or TV shows. FOR FREE!” wrote Khawula on his famous Twitter account.
Khuli Chana, from Mmabatho in the North West, won four South African Music Awards with three studio albums titled Motswakoriginator, Lost in Time and Planet of the Have Nots in 2019.
He released his last single titled “Buyile” (He is back) in May 2021 featuring amapiano artists Tyler ICU, the duo Stino Le Thwenny and the talented Lady Du.
Hopefully with the new studios now open, he is going to bless his fans with more motswako music, which is a form of rap that originates from his home province.
