President Cyril Ramaphosa has declared 01 November as a public holiday for the 2021 local government elections.
The president has urged employers to make provision for employees to cast their votes at the various voting stations in the country.
The statement said that voters will only be allowed to vote at the polling station they are registered at.
“Voters are reminded as well that they will only be able to cast their votes at the polling stations in wards where they are registered.”
“The president urges voters to ensure that they adhere to the Covid-19 health regulations as they exercise their vote,” it continued.
