Prince Kaybee snubs Cassper’s boxing offer again

  • DJ Prince Kaybee turned down a R500,000 boxing offer from Cassper Nyovest’s team, calling the amount too low to accept.
  • Kaybee says he wants R3 million to fight and does not believe Cassper matches his fitness or size at all.

DJ and producer Prince Kaybee has turned down an offer to fight rapper Cassper Nyovest in a boxing match, saying the R500,000 on the table was not enough.

Speaking on YFM’s Home Run with Ayanda MVP and Sinaye, Kaybee said he received an email from Nyovest’s team with the offer.

“I doubt that it will ever happen. Financially, it doesn’t make sense for me,” Kaybee said.

“They’re offering like half a million. I’m not going to train for half a million. They must give me like three, maybe,” he said, referring to R3 million.

Kaybee also dismissed the idea that he and Cassper are evenly matched.

“Cassper will never get to my level. We are not even the same weight, size,” he said.

The two stars have been going back and forth about a possible fight since 2021, when Cassper first challenged Kaybee to get in the ring. Kaybee has turned down similar offers before, each time asking for more money.

Cassper has already taken part in several celebrity boxing matches. He beat YouTuber Slik Talk in 2021, lost to NaakMusiQ in 2022, and beat rapper Priddy Ugly later that year.

Kaybee has never competed in a celebrity boxing match. He has instead focused on fitness and endurance training, including a recent three-day, 600km cycling trip between Johannesburg and Durban.
