South African artist and reality show star Boitumelo “Boity” Thulo saw her perfume drop 90% in price, a drop that has gone viral on social media.
Boity Pink Sapphire Eau de Parfum was launched in 2020 in collaboration with Halo Heritage with the 100ml bottle priced at around R1,495.
A social media user posted a picture on Thursday showing that Boity Thulo’s perfume is now selling for R60.
“This Boity perfume moved to R60. I wish she could have promoted it more like Bonang who promotes BNG and engages with her clients on the timeline,” a user wrote.
Boity wrote: “The business failed. Very disappointing. Life happened. But we try again and keep moving forward.”
Alongside her perfume venture, Boity also owns an alcohol brand named BT Signature, launched in March 2021, and a line of hair care products tailored for women with Type 3 and 4 hair.
Her alcohol brand and hair care products have remained at the same value.
