Antoinette is a 28-year-old mother from Pretoria who started selling perfume in August 2025 after leaving her job as a bookkeeper.
She used her last pay cheque to take the first step. In the beginning, small sales made a big difference. Selling one bottle of perfume meant she could buy bread for a week. That income helped her get through difficult days.
Her business, Petals Beauty, runs through customer orders. She does not sell door to door. Antoinette is also building a small team, with fewer than 10 people involved.
Her work supports five people directly. She says her responsibilities are bigger because of family needs and her background.
For Antoinette, the business is about more than money. It has helped her meet new people and learn from different experiences. It has also helped her grow in confidence.
But she still faces challenges. She says limited funds make it hard to market her products and increase her sales.
Her goal is financial freedom. She wants stable income and hopes to grow Petals Beauty into a bigger business one day.
She wants people without work to stop waiting and create their own opportunities. People can join her business without a joining fee and get started with about R850. There are no sales targets. Income grows through selling products and building a team.
Those who move into leadership can earn rewards based on their performance.
