Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns have found out their opponents for the upcoming CAF Champions League season.
Pirates will kick off in the first preliminary round against Madagascan side Disciples FC. If they win, they will face either Jwaneng Galaxy from Botswana or Namibian side African Stars in the second round.
Pirates may be scared of Jwaneng Galaxy, who eliminated them last season.
Sundowns will start in the second preliminary round, facing the winner of the match between Eswatini champions Mbabane Swallows and Mozambican team Clube Ferroviário da Beira.
Sundowns have been trying to win the Champions League since 2017 and recently sacked coach Rhulani Mokwena due to their lack of success in the competition.
Stellenbosch will debut in continental football in the CAF Confederation Cup, starting in the first preliminary round against Eswatini’s Nsingizini Hotspurs.
They will face DR Congo giants AS Vita in the second round if they progress.
Sekhukhune United, which reached the group stage last season, will skip the first round and face the winner of Malagasy side Elgeco Plus or Angola’s CD Luanda in the second round.
