Popular actor Macdonald “Mac” Mathunjwa passed away on Monday morning after he succumbed to prostate cancer.
Magic Hlatshwayo told Scrolla.Africa he knew Mac had not been feeling well in the past few months.
“I never thought that this would be the end of his chapter,” said Hlatshwayo, who is currently in Imbewu The Seed.
“Mac was a dedicated artist and full of life. He loved to crack jokes.”
Another legend, Vusi Dibakwana who was close to Mathunjwa said that the industry has lost a good actor.
“The last TV series I did with him, Hhay’Bo Mnakwethu is currently on Moja Love. He was a very talented artist and he had that funny nature. He was always willing to help others,” he said.
Mathunjwa played in many series’ including Uhambo Lwami, Soul City and uGugu no Andile, Home Affairs, Ithemba, Stokfela and Intsika.
He leaves behind his wife and kids.
