One body positively identified as one of three missing officers

• Three police officers went missing last Wednesday while travelling from Bloemfontein to Limpopo for deployment.

• Five bodies have been retrieved, while still haven’t confirmed whether the officers have been identified by their families.

The family of Constable Constable Cebekhulu Linda have positively identified her as one of the five bodies retrieved from the Hennops River in Pretoria.

The two other officers have not yet been identified. Their families are still at the mortuary. 

Police have found a total of five bodies in the river on Tuesday. 

Earlier on Tuesday police officers confirmed that they found the bodies but could not confirm they were of the missing officers.

At this hour, senior police officers are heading to the scene where the fifth body has been found and being retrieved by the rescue team.

Last Wednesday, Constables Cebekhulu Linda, Keamogetswe Buys and Boipelo Senoge went missing while travelling from Bloemfontein to their area of deployment in Limpopo.

On Saturday, national police commissioner General Fannie Masemola offered a R350,000 reward for any information that could help find them.
