- Three police officers went missing last Wednesday while travelling from Bloemfontein to Limpopo for deployment.
- Two bodies have been identified, while the third body and a white VW Polo were found along the N1 highway.
Police have found bodies believed to be those of three officers who went missing on their way to Polokwane.
While the police could not confirm the bodies were those of the missing officers, some media reports said they were.
Police said the families are on their way to the crime scene, along with social workers and chaplains.
EWN reported that two of the bodies have already been positively identified.
Police also found a third body and the white VW Polo the officers were travelling in. The car and the scene were cordoned off along the N1 highway on Tuesday morning.
Last Wednesday, Constables Cebekhulu Linda, Keamogetswe Buys and Boipelo Senoge went missing while travelling from Bloemfontein to their area of deployment in Limpopo.
On Saturday, national police commissioner General Fannie Masemola offered a R350,000 reward for any information that could help find them.
The scene is still active.
